The 1920s and 30s are alive and flourishing in The Stompers, who will give the full Dixieland treatment to your occasion, striding around your venue in time to the music. Interactivity is the aim of the game – the band will get every guest marching along with their voracious beat, cherry-picking from swing and jazz standards that haven’t aged a day.
Not got the facilities for amplified music at your venue? No problem: The Stompers don’t need a single jack lead in their take on the sound of New Orleans. Thanks to this, they’re wildly popular for outdoor events – drinks receptions, race days and the like – whilst adding vocal harmonies in the heat of the moment.
The basic three-piece line-up includes a clarinet, washboard and double base, with the option for a trumpet to bump up the communal high notes.
